05/26 – ETF Trading – IWM, UWM

IWM closed higher yesterday, but not enough to trigger our etf exit signals. Take a second and final trading position should IWM close lower than our entry price and the RSI 2 falls below 6.

Otherwise, our exit signals are triggered when the closing price for IWM is higher than it’s 5 day moving average, or – for a potentially larger gain – when the RSI 2 is greater than 70. We’re using the latter.

For trading UWM, follow the signals for IWM. All trades are at the market close. Please trade responsibly. Updated charts are posted below.

IWM closed lower yesterday and we took our first position in the etf trade. Take a second and final trading position should IWM close lower still and the RSI 2 is less than 6. Follow these signals for trading UWM, as well.

Otherwise, our exit signals are triggered when the closing price for IWM is higher than it’s 5 day moving average, or – for a potentially larger gain – when the RSI 2 is greater than 70. We’re using the latter.

All trades are at the market close. Please trade responsibly. Updated charts are posted below.

05/24 – ETF Trading – IWM, UWM

Put IWM on your watch list today. IWM closed lower yesterday (along with everything else!). Consider taking a long position in IWM should the etf close lower today. For the leveraged trade, consider trading UWM.

IWM – The iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the small capitalization sector of the U.S. equity market as represented by the Russell 2000 Index. The index represents the approximately 2,000 smallest companies in the Russell 3000 Index.

UWM – ProShares Ultra Russell2000 seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to twice (200%) the daily performance of the Russell 2000® Index.

Take the first of 2 long trading positions should IWM close lower today. We may take a second trading position in the next couple of days should IWM close lower still and its RSI 2 falls below 6.

We’ll scale-into our trade with a 33-67 ratio – the first trading position at 1/3 of your trading funds; the second trading position with the remaining 2/3.

Should we get into the trade, our exit signals are triggered when the closing price for IWM is higher than it’s 5 day moving average, or – for a potentially larger gain – when the RSI 2 is greater than 70.

Follow the signals for IWM when trading UWM. All trades are at the market close. Please trade responsibly.

01/27 – ETF Trading – Gain on IWM, UWM

Chalk up another winning trade. Our exit signals for IWM triggered with yesterday’s rally and we took a gain of 2.27%. The leveraged etf trade in UWM yielded a gain of 4.50% – all in a 5 day trade.

A nice gain on our IWM trade. We’ve now made 35 winning trades out of 43 in the last 12 months. That’s a winning percentage of over 81%.

I have no etf trading opportunities to suggest today. We’ll wait for a market correction to trigger new etf trading signals.

01/26 – ETF Trading – IWM, UWM

IWM closed higher yesterday, and above its 5 day moving average for a small gain of .67%. However, we’re waiting for the RSI(2) to close above 70 to trigger our etf exit. Updated charts are posted below.

To review, we have a long trade in IWM in progress. Our exit signals for the trade are triggered when the etf price is more than it’s MA(5), or – for a potentially larger gain – when the RSI(2) is greater than 70.

For the leveraged trade in UWM, follow the trading signals for IWM.
