04/15 – ETF Trading – Gains on USO, UCO

Nice gains on the oil trade! Our etf exit signals triggered for USO and UCO. We gained 2.09% on USO and 3.55% on UCO. All in a 3 day trade!

All trades were at the market close. Updated charts are posted below. You can download the spreadsheet for the etf trade here. Here’s a look at what we did in March.

Our entry signal for EWT did not trigger yesterday.

I have no etf trading opportunities to suggest for today. The broader market is over bought – a stock market pull-back will trigger some new etf trading signals.

04/14 – ETF Trading – USO, UCO, EWT

Good morning. USO moved lower yesterday and you took your second position in the etf trade. For the leveraged trade, UCO also moved lower and you took your second position in the trade. Should these etfs move lower today, take your third position in the trade.

Otherwise, our etf exit signals are triggered when the etf price is greater than it’s MA(5), or – for a potentially larger gain – when the RSI(2) is greater than 70.

Put EWT on your watch list. Take an initial position should this etf close lower today.

EWT – The iShares MSCI Taiwan Index Fund seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of publicly traded securities in the Taiwanese market, as measured by the MSCI Taiwan Index.

Updated charts posted below. All trades are at the market close. Please trade responsibly!

04/13 – ETF Trading – USO, UCO

Ok. USO closed lower yesterday and you took your first position in the etf trade. For the leveraged etf trade, you took your first position in UCO. Updated charts are posted below.

Once we trade, we don’t always take just one trading position. There are times when we’ll scale in to the trade – sometimes up to 3 to 4 additional positions. And each position gets a bit larger than the previous position. Larry Connors has a great summary of these strategies which you can review here.

We’ll scale in with up to three 3 positions. So, take a second trading position should USO close lower today – the same for UCO. All trades are at the market close. Please trade responsibly.

Otherwise, our exit signals are triggered when the etf price is greater than it’s MA(5), or – for a potentially larger gain – when the RSI(2) is greater than 70.
