ETF Trading – TIP, GLD, FXE

Nice move on TIP, yesterday. You took your gains on the close after holding the etf for just 2 days!

GLD and FXE moved higher yesterday. You should be into one long unit if you’re trading these etfs. Wait to take your gains on the exit strategies found in High Probability ETF Trading.

No other trading signals have triggered.  Let’s wait on a pullback for some more long entry points.

This weekend, I hope to give you a monthly wrap-up of the stock trades we made this month.

ETF Trading – TIP, USO, SCO, GLD, FXE

The signals for TIP triggered yesterday – we’re into the first long unit.

USO closed below it’s MA(5). Per the rules we’ve been following, this resulted in a losing trade (it’s High Probability ETF Trading – not “guaranteed results” trading).

Another exit strategy to consider is to exit the trade when the RSI(2) falls below 30 (USO was a short trade). As such, you could still be in the trade with the opportunity to still profit!

SCO has still not moved above it’s MA(5). With the price of oil down this morning, perhaps a large decline in oil today will produce a winning etf trade with SCO.

Other etfs to watch today include GLD and FXE, though the results for commodity and currency etf trades are not as predictable as country and market etfs. You could take initial long positions should these close lower today.

ETF Trading – USO, SCO

There are no new etf trading opportunities to suggest today. We’re patiently waiting for the stock market to change course and provide us with new stock trading opportunities.

We’re also patiently waiting to take our gains on USO and/or SCO. Take your gains when the closing price of USO closes below it’s 5 day moving average.  Eventhough the RSI(2) is high, do not enter any more short positions, as the etf has moved above it’s MA(200).

For SCO, you’ll take your gains when the stock price closes above it’s 5 day moving average.

Updated stock charts are posted:
