12/14 – ETF Trading – No Trades Today
I have no trades to recommend today. The broader market closed lower yesterday and is now residing in an over-sold condition. We’re looking for an over-bought condition to trigger our short selling signals.
Our etf trading signals are now weighted toward shorting etfs since SPY and other index etfs are trading below their 200 day moving averages. Consequently, we’ll make no long trades for any etf below its 200 day moving average.
As part of our trading execution, we won’t take just one trading position. Depending on the market action, we’ll make additional trades – scaling in to the trade – with up to 3 to 4 additional positions. Larry Connors has a great summary of our trading execution which you can review here.
Discover all of the etf trading strategies used here at ETF Stock Trading in the book by Larry Connors: High Probability ETF Trading. His etf trading strategies have only a few rules and you can back-test and apply the strategies on the next trading day. The book, complete with exact trading rules, is backed by over a decade of statistical results. Get your copy today. The strategies also work in bear markets.
