11/9 – ETF Trading – No Trades Today

My apologies for the delayed post – I was having technical difficulties this morning.

There are no etf trades for today. We’ll wait for our entry signals to trigger on a market pull-back.

One of the trading signals I use is the 200 day moving average. David Penn of TradingMarkets.com has a great article about using the 200 day moving average in etf trading. I think you’ll find it informative.

• 12/24 - ETF Trading - FXI Good morning and Merry Christmas. FXI moved higher yesterday, and we exited the trade on the RSI(2)>70 signal at the market close. Unfortunately, we took a 3.43% loss on the trade. Recall that we entered the position on 12/9 and then scaled-in to the trade over a several day period.......
• 11/05 - ETF Trading - XLF, SKF XLF closed strongly higher yesterday, enough to trigger taking a second short position. However, since XLF is now above its 200 day moving average, we will not take a final 3rd short trading position. We'll now just wait for our etf exit signals to trigger. Our exit signals are triggered......
• 10/20 - ETF Trading - EWJ, EWY Prices for EWJ and EWY moved higher yesterday. As such, our entry signal did not trigger and we did not enter the etf trade.
