08/17 – ETF Trading – No Trades Today

The broader stock market has worked off it’s over-bought condition with yesterday’s close – see the updated chart for SPY below.

Our etf trading signals are now weighted toward shorting etfs since SPY and other index etfs are now trading below their 200 day moving averages. Why is that important? David Penn of TradingMarkets.com discusses the importance of the 200 day moving average in this article.

So, we’ll patiently wait for more stock market buying to trigger short selling trading signals.
